"In Search of the Kee" is into the editing process now. The Editor is working on a part time basis as he has time. He, and I, both are very excited about this next book. It continues where "Race for Doroon" leaves off... and builds new multiple plots, dangers and some unexpected twists and revelations.

The Keeborn become more familiar to us, culture and essence. These powerful, genteel Cats grow more intriguing. Finding of their rightful place in the culture of the Kee is nothing less than reverently fascinating.

Adventure and stress relief for the reader abounds throughout the book. I am about 3/4 finished with the storyline, but even I don't know the ending yet.

Here's a quote I liked from In Search of the Kee; these men have been looking for the Kee:

When Marcus' ship began to sound normal and stabilize control, he began to relax somewhat.
Ratack ventured conversation, "Well, it seems we've made the round trip in one piece?"
"True enough, but our verilium is depleted, won't get far on what's left... and now to find out where in space we are?" Marcus turned to his charts.
" Ah!" said Ratack with complete understanding. "I was lost in the woods once, only to find myself on the other side of the tree."
"I think this is a pretty big tree!" Marcus replied, worried.

If you had your 'druthers' and input into "In Search of the Kee", would you want more about or include:
1. romance
2. adventure with danger
3. verbal descriptions of places, people, characters, 'machines'
4. include pictures in the book
5. development of the people and their lives in the storyline
6. the Keeborn
7. The Keegreet
8. Mystery
9. comedy
10. history of the story- like where and why
11. Race and Sandy
12. Maps and star charts

What would add to your reading enjoyment, for most this may mean they have read Race for Doroon first, anyway...
Just wondering?

Feel free to reply in the "comments on the blog" section.
Would love to hear from you.

Based on recent comments on "druthers", I've found adding to the book according to what you want to read about, an real pleasure and adventure.

You see I have all this stuff in my head about the books, history of the people and places - for each of my characters are developed individually and become 'alive' to me when I write and this involves individual backgrounds; where they came from, personality and characteristics; this is the only way I can use a character, when they live in my mind.

The same goes for the worlds. I have a visualization of the universes and planets/stars that make up the whole of the wide scope of my books. Each place I 'go' in the book has it's own terrain, cities and culture. I have determined to put star charts/maps into the next book, it helps with reader interpretation I think.

The storylines all are episodial and jump from place to place, person to person, just like in Race for Doroon. When all is told the story is complete.

I like to keep romance in love, being a total romantic myself. Often have I heard that my simple descriptions are excellant for keeping the mystery of romance alive to the reader.

Here's hoping I get more input on what "you" want to read about... there is so much more in my head about these things than I can ever probably write about. Which of course is the true secret of enjoying what you're doing and it totally devistates writer's block!

Star Charts have been sent to the artist. I believe these will add greatly to the reading enjoyment of In Search of the Kee, of course, also Race for Doroon.

Do believe that my 'star charts' are probably not going to look like a map of the universe. Sam has done excellantly with his background stars here. My artist is literal and the drawings are unique.

So expect a different type of picture in this book... it's not the sci-fi norm of pictures.

Writing is my R&R. My stress relief. You see I deal daily with other people's problems and finding solutions to those problems. Sometime by the end of the day, just re-reading an episode in my book finds me new avenues of stress relief as well as exciting story line.

I hope each and every one of you, take into account that you deserve some stress relief. Life isn't easy-- but it's always worth living. When daily challenges overwhelm and get in the way? find one thing to concentrate on that you like! and determine that this is my time of no worries!
