Jean Hartman is the science fiction and fantasy author of Race for Doroon and In Search of the Kee, with an animate television

Gloria, a self-confessed "space nut", was born during a storm
in Sebastopol, California and life has been an adventure since.
She attended Santa Rosa High School, Santa Rosa, California
and was the school football mascot "Pandy", mainly because of
her height and she 'fit' the costume. She later graduated from
Healdsburg High, Healdsburg, Calif. Where she met and married
Seth, her husband of many years.
She lived in Santa Rosa when Seth went to Vietnam for a year with
the US Army. She worked at Teen Challenge Drug Addiction Center,
several years in San Francisco, where she turned down a shark-feeding
job at the one time aquarium ship in the bay, for the higher
calling of Teen Challenge.
Gloria has completed training as a certified SCUBA
Diver. Her father taught her to fly single engine aircraft,
she is a Para legal and notary. She was included in "Who's Who
in the West" 1999 for her Business Management accomplishments
in Redding, California, and Boulder, Colorado. As a Certified
Christian Worker she has spent several years teaching Bible
Classes and counseling young married people. She now works at
home as a licensed Real
Estate Rental Agent and Adult Foster Care Home to the aged
in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
The mother of five grown children; one CHP 'cop',
one Navy Diver, one beautician magician, one building contractor
and one wiring whiz-guy. "And 16 grandkids," she adds. Home
is Klamath Falls, Oregon where they have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 horses,
1 small 'Jack' and an odd assortment of chickens running the
acre. "Writing is my stress relief, I love to go have fun in
space. It's my R & R. People wonder how I do it all; but I don't
tell them I write. One must leave mystery alone to keep it."
